You can help with an exciting new personal project

Hi all. I’ve not made a video in ages, that is pretty obvious. Apart from life disruptions, I have been working on a project that has been absorbing a lot of my time. I want my first return video to be about this project so please be patient.

You can help me with it. What issues would you include under the rubric of MRA / Anti-feminist? Obviously there would be paternity fraud, false rape allegations, circumcision, parental alienation, etc. The current list I have is listed below. If you can think of some other obvious issues that I’ve missed then please let me know. Also, of you have a different idea about the master-child categorisation then let me know about that too. Hi Mark,

Looks like you've covered nearly the full gamut of issues. I can't think anything you've left out. If you're looking for information, I just wrote a piece about Rape and False Rape Allegations. It's in response to a comment from your site that asked for a definition of rape. I'll be looking forward to your videos.

Nice list but still very general. I only have points that might be subcategories of those above:
    1) Objectification of Men: reducing men to machine like entities that are only valued by their performance/cost ratio.

    2) Exploitation of men through pornography and prostitution: Exploiting strong biological instincts for profit. Or exploiting sexual deprivation for the same purpose.

    Looking forward to your project.

The default assumption that the woman has a right to share the man's income in most of the legal system.

And I would like to contradict aHuman's view point that pornography and prostitution are "exploitative". Sorry, but it is a voluntarily entered proposition and there is absolutely nothing exploitative about that. What would you rather have? A society where pornography and prostitution is prohibited? What next? Profiting in food trade is exploitative.. damn those farmers! On the other hand, the "DV" tax/"surcharges" laid on sexual businesses like strip clubs etc. are exploitative.

I only brought that up because nobody ever mentions it. Porn is always only seen as exploitative of women, but it is every bit as much exploitative of men. Still a point worth looking into I think.

Hey Mark, I think more people will see this post if you run a short few second video on it. Could just be a text video. Tons of us are subscribed to your videos, but don't check the blog as often.

How about Sociolinguistics in the context of creating profiles about men and women and using these in data mining.

Could kinda go under "Feminism: Feminism and language change". I'm trying to cover all possible categories but yet keep them generic as well. People will be able to search on other information but I don't want to swamp people.

    Thanks for all your suggestions.

I'm glad lad to hear you're returning to YouTube. It's like an early Christmas present. =)

This is a great list. I'm kinda surprised you don't have circumcision in the "Sexuality" section, though, or have it in the "Law & Politics" section, because of the fact that the government only outlaws female circumcision, which means males don't get equal protection under the law.

Maybe I missed it; but, I didn't see men's shelters to escape domestic violence being mentioned.

Shelters could be a good sub category to add.

I think most people will think of circumcision as being primauly health related. There is a "different treatement under the law" category which could be grouped with it.

I worked at a domestic violence shelter for a couple of years (my mother was the director), and there were facilities for male DV survivors as well. I don't recall that we ever had any male clients, though.

The umbrella in particular is remembered as the symbol of the nineteenth century’s disturbing obsession with individualism. In Bellamy’s utopia, umbrellas have been replaced with retractable canopies so that everyone is protected from the rain equally.
“In the nineteenth century,” explains a character, “when it rained, the people of Boston put up three hundred thousand umbrellas over as many heads, and in the twentieth century they put up one umbrella over all the heads.”
