Ooh! Stuff looks different

Well I suddenly had the urge to re-deign the site so here it is. The new theme represents a move away from being MRA/anti-feminist centred to more of an individualist/libertarian theme. Not that I’ve gone soft on the feminists – merely that I do so as a freethinking individual rather as a member of another “ism”. The quote from the top of the page was taken from Jonah Goldberg’s “Liberal fascism”. The umbrella as a sign of individualism? Interesting.

If there are any teething problems then excuse me, if you see anything too messed up then please send me a message and suggestions are always welcome.

Also, I’ve put in some functional changes too. Post previews are longer. The site should be more compact. I’ve added BBCode capabilities to comments so you can mark-up your comments with bold, italic, underline, lists, links and quotes.

I’m going to try and post more and fine tune the site to perfection. I hope you all like the look.

I like the redesign, especially the formatting options. I like your rationale to.

But is it possible to introduce a 'preview' option? Just to see if there are no errors with formatting?

Thank you Nate. There is the ability to have a preview in the BBCode editor but I didn't get it working in time so it got cut. I shall endevour to have it working by the next update.

    Cheers.

So how's things in NZ? What prompted the move?

I've been meaning to go to NZ for the past 5 years, but never have. I'm only 4 hours away in Australia to.

I heard it was nice and thought "what the hell!?". I have rapidly losing respect for the UK and I don't think it is a society I want to hanging around with, kind of like a syphilitic whore. It can’t be doing you any good.

The umbrella in particular is remembered as the symbol of the nineteenth century’s disturbing obsession with individualism. In Bellamy’s utopia, umbrellas have been replaced with retractable canopies so that everyone is protected from the rain equally.
“In the nineteenth century,” explains a character, “when it rained, the people of Boston put up three hundred thousand umbrellas over as many heads, and in the twentieth century they put up one umbrella over all the heads.”
