Susurration of a Shibboleth

su•sur•ra•tion
A soft, whispering or rustling sound; a murmur.
shib•bo•leth
A custom or practice that betrays one as an outsider.

This blog has been given an interesting name, a name which I have created from the concatenation of two unusual words. A susurration is a soft sound or a lingering sigh, one of the definitions of a shibboleth is an action that betrays one as an outsider.

And this represents what I want to say. I feel sometimes that I am completely insane, I am living in a world that makes no sense. We live in a world where fundamentalist religion is making a resurgence, where our freedom of speech is being eroded – and we don't care. We live in a world where we say what is proper, not what is correct. We live in a world where our culture is being traded out under our feed by greedy and stupid politicians. We live in a world of degeneration and decay, irrational and foolish though is the order of the day. We live in a world where men are denigrated and yet we still say that we are an enlightened and open minded culture.

This blog and all accompanying videos represent my values. These values roughly fall into the following groups:

Men’s rights
Science
Atheism
Anti-fundamentalism
Anti-political correctness
Anti radical feminism

I hope that these videos and articles provide a new and interesting perspective on many subjects and are enjoyed by many people. I suppose that my biggest hope is that I can make a difference and affect some people’s attitudes with my arguments. Whether or not this happens, I will still stand for what I think is right even if this means acting as a David against a Goliath (the institution of political correctness can be characterised as thus).

Only a brave person is willing to admit honestly, and fearlessly to face, what a sincere and logical mind discovers.

I have chanced upon your blog, via a linkage to genderwar.org.... And I see that your values are very like my own, and that your agenda is very like what I myself wish to promote. I have a blog, here: http://counterfem.blogspot.com ..and I generally link to those who link to me. Interested in a link exchange...? Regards, -Fidelbogen-

Hi mate: That's a great video you had put up. Now, have you ever heard of Section 498A of Indian Penal Code? Or the Domestic Violence Act of India? It's the MOST OUTRAGEOUS act ever enacted in the entire world, that literally equates the plight of men with the Jews in Nazi Germany. I'd like to invite you to join our private men-only forum http://clubkam.ning.com where you can share your wisdom with other like-minded men.

The umbrella in particular is remembered as the symbol of the nineteenth century’s disturbing obsession with individualism. In Bellamy’s utopia, umbrellas have been replaced with retractable canopies so that everyone is protected from the rain equally.
“In the nineteenth century,” explains a character, “when it rained, the people of Boston put up three hundred thousand umbrellas over as many heads, and in the twentieth century they put up one umbrella over all the heads.”
